For me, that link now redirects to https://support.xfinity.com/chat.
It's working for me. Are you reaching the "Select a topic" screen, or does it fail before that? If you are reaching that screen, which topic are you selecting? When exactly in the sequence does the error appear?
I'm having this problem as well today. The "server failure" message and debug dump happens immediately on trying to load the chat URL. I don't get to "Select a topic" or to any other screen.
Fails on Safari and Firefox on MacOS 10.12.6 with all updates.
I get the same mesage on safari, Mozilla, and chrome. Comcast/ Xfinity really needs to up there game. After the day I had with Tech support and CSRs and everyone else this is just the topper.
I even have been hung up on from a "manager" from CSR, which is really the next person sitting next to the first CRS and not a true manager at all. Then get told that I have to wait for a call that maybe be monday.
I wonder why I pay them so much every month to put up with equpment that wont work, infrastructure that wont work and then outages.
I apologize for the errors when trying to reach out to our chat support team. I am not sure what is causing this error and I will be investigating. In the mean time I would be glad to assist you with your respective issues. Would you please post your issues so I can the rest of the Forum Moderators can help.
Again I apologize for any frustration this has caused you all.
To help residents and emergency personnel stay connected during this time, Comcast is opening up Xfinity WiFi outdoor and SMB hotspots in these communities to anyone who needs them, including non-Xfinity Internet subscribers.
This will be starting at 4:00 PM ET on Monday, March 5, 2018, through Friday, March 16, 2018.
For more about these open Xfinity Hotspots see here.
