windows mail keeps configuring

When I open windows live mail, I get a constant loop for 10 times that I should wait while windows configures windows male. It opens after that but when I close it, it freezes up untill adox shows up saying it's saving my changes. ( I didn't make any ). Hope someone has a answer because comcast won't call me back on this.

Re: windows mail keeps configuring

I seriously doubt this is a Dell problem, which is why you're not getting any results from them.  This sounds more like an issue with Windows Live Mail itself.  But, even with that, trying to figure out why and what is causing the issue could have several paths to find a solution.

Are all of your Windows updates installed and up-to-date?

Have you tried uninstalling Windows Essentials and then re-installing it?

Have you tried using another email client such as Thunderbird?

Re: windows mail keeps configuring

Once more, it's not a Dell problem.  Is there some reason you are set on using Windowws Live Mail and not another email client?

Re: windows mail keeps configuring

Dell fixed it. They had to uninstall windows 3 times from programs before it was comppletly uninstalled. It would not leave till the 3rd time and then it worked fine.

Re: windows mail keeps configuring

Let's go a different direction.

Is .NET Framework 3.0 installed?

Refer to the following steps to install .Net Framework 3.0 on your computer and check if that helps:

a. Windows key+ W key go to settings.

b. Enter “Turn Windows feature on or off” and press enter.

c. Check for .Net Framework 3.5 (includes 2.0 and 3.0).

d. click on Ok

f. Click on “Download files from the Windows Update”.

d. follow the on-line instructions.

This is from here.

Re: windows mail keeps configuring

I already have windows esential now, I wanted to uninstall it and then reinstal it to see if that would help

Re: windows mail keeps configuring

I understand that.  The question is if you have the most recent .NET Framework installed.  If you don't, it may fix the problem with the constant configuring of Windows Live Mail.

Re: windows mail keeps configuring

And Windows Essentials isn't listed in your list of Programs to uninstall?

I don't have Windows 10 installed, btw.  Too flaky yet for my tastes.

Re: windows mail keeps configuring

Yeah it's listed but it won't uninstall. It goes through all the motions but when you go back to programs it's still there and you can do it over and over again and it says the uninstlled is complete.
