why are my facebook notificattions showing up in my email? How can I stop them?

why are facebook posts showiing up in my comcast email?  How can I sop this?

This is happens when:

 

1.  Notifications are turned on for specific FB pages you are following

 

and/or

 

2.  Notifications are turned on for  a post you made or oneto which you responded.

 

In either case you have to turn them off on Facebook.
