sync emails with iphone

How do I sync my iphone emails with on line emails?  I receive all email on both computer and iphone.  However, when I delete them on the computer, they remain on my phone.  It's irritating that I have to go through the process twice.  Anyone know how to fix this?

Re: sync emails with iphone

Whatever email client you are using on the computer needs to be set up using IMAP for the Comcast account.  It sounds like either the phone or the computer is using POP3.  In that protocol, the default is to download a message and then delete it from the server.  But it can be set to leave a copy on the server.  With both devices using IMAP everything would be in sync, and if you delete an email on one it's also deleted from the other.  If you need the settings they are here---------------
