spam email

spam email

I've been receiving spam email every day from the same source: fanbox.com and I've been marking it "spam".  I thought that would catch it and delete it before coming to my In Box but it hasn't.  Can anyone explain why?   What do I do to stop receiving these emails?  Thanks.

Keep marking it as spam to help "train" the filters.  It takes time.  Alternately, if the domain is always the same you can  try setting up a filter to dump them before it gets to your Inbox.  From the Inbox page go to Preferences>>>>>Email>>>>>>Email Filters.  Follow the prompts and see if that helps you.

The mail from fanbox is being seen as spam, but you appear to have spam filtering turned off.
