can anyone tell me how to set the correct time zone?

What time zone? If it's a cable box, unplug the cable box power cord for a minute or so, then try again. You may need to do this twice.

 

If it's the Full version of Xfinity Connect webmail, check Time Zone setting of your computer or mobile device.

 

If it's the Lite version of Xfinity Connect webmail, check Time Zone setting under Preferences / Email / Timezone.
