remove mass of old email

remove mass of old email

I have nearly 20,000 email messages and I'd like to know if there's a way to delete most of them at once rather than hitting the button repeatedly to delete message by message.

Re: remove mass of old email

For that many, the easiiest way is this:  from the Inbox page go to Preferences>>>>Email>>>>>Email Deletion Schedule.  Change your time period to something shorter like 30 days or whatever for the folders in question.  Another poster just did the same and it worked for him.  It took 6 hours in his case, although it could take longer.
