"Invalid server certificate" message

"Invalid server certificate" message

When I open Outlook 2007, which downloads email from the Comcast web site, it downloads fine.  When I try to respond I get a message thet the server certificate I am sending to is INVALID and there is a choice to "use it anyway", which I click on and then the message is sent.  Why is this happening, and what is someone going to do to fix it?

Re: "Invalid server certificate" message

Could you post a screen shot of the error message please?  Also what do you have set for your outgoing mail server?  This error can occur if you have a typo in the outgoing email server name.  The server name should read smtp.comcast.net (not, for example, stmp.comcast.net).

Hope this helps.

You must have been psychic.  That was PRECISELY the error!  Thank you - I had reversed the letters.  Frank

Nope, not psychic...I have made the same typo myself (i hate to admit) more than once...Smiley Happy  Anyway, glad to hear it is working.
