pop up blocker wont let me compose email

pop up blocker wont let me compose email

When I try to compose an email on Xfinity email, I get a message stating "Page Control" prevented a pop-up from opening a new window." When I click on the option that supposedly allows the new window to open, it opens to a black page,  I am unable to compose or reply to my emails.  This is a new debacle.  June 10, 2015.

I can't even figure out what software is at work here.  I never heard of Page Control before and numerous web searches haven't been successful.  Help!  Thanks Smiley Happy

Re: pop up blocker wont let me compose email

1)  Go into your browser settings and disable the pop-up blocker temporarily to see if that fixes it.

2)  If it doesn't, try using a different browser to see if you can duplicate the issue.

3)  As a precaution, change the password and secret question and answer for the account, then run a complete scan of your system to see if you picked up a bit of malware.
