phishing email?

New Poster

phishing email?

I've received an email from ADMIN claiming that the Message Center has noticed that my email account has almost exceeded its limit.  It says that I may not be able to send/receive messages if I don't upgrade.

I do expect that this is a fake email.   Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Re: phishing email?

It certainly sounds like a scam. If you're using Comcast's webmail, check for an XFINITY Verified Email symbol outside the body of the message. See https://www.xfinity.com/support/internet/guide-to-icons-in-xfinity-connect/ for examples, and Comcast Email Phish or Legit? How to Tell (and rules for posting) for more information about identifying, reporting, and posting phishing emails.
