not receiving emails

I'm new to comcast and set up my email account a few days ago.  I received some emails from comcast after setting it up, so it seems to be working.  I've been trying to forward some emails from my old accounts to comcast email and have received none of them.  Any ideas?  Yes, I double checked my email address.
