lost/disappeared email folder

lost/disappeared email folder

One of my email folders has mysteriously disappeared.  I noticed two days or so ago it appeared as a folder under my trash.  It is no longer there and is not in the trash nor was I able to locate it in the "recover deleted items" list in the trash.  ??

Re: lost/disappeared email folder

The "Recover Deleted Items" thingy only works on individual emails, not folders.  If you had the missing folder set up as a sub-folder of the Trash folder, it was subject to the deletion schedule of that parent folder.  The longest you can keep anything in the Trash folder is 30 days.

Re: lost/disappeared email folder

Comcast Security Level support retrieved the emails in the folder from the server. BTW, the folder "migrated" to the trash as a sub folder (not my doing) and would not be moved. I suspect it had something to do with imap on my iphone; remains a mystery.
