I too have a LG G3- lollipo update installed today. No my email will not connect to Comcast server- says "Server temporarily unavailable. Try again later." If I turn wifi off (I am connected to my Xfinity WiFi hotspot), then it will update.
Your suggestion of turning the WiFi off worked. But in any event they have to come out with a fix since obviously that's not theway it should work. I'll see what the Verizon people say about this.
I spent 1.5 hours at Verizon store tonight, they could not fix it, they say its a Camcast problem. He tried to delete my comcast email from my phone and reinstall it but it would not let him reinstall, now I cannot get any email but gmail on my phone (LG G3). I am not computer/cell phone savvy and have no one to help me. If Verizon couldnt fix then should I call Comcast and get a representative on the phone?
If getting email worked before the lollipop update I would suggest it's lollipop and not Verizon or Comcast. From doing a quick read on the internet, it seems as though lollipop is causing multiple problems, including being able to gather email.
When you say xfinity app do you mean the xfinity mobile app? Do I get it at the Google play store?
Yes, you get it at the Google Play Store. It is called XFINITY Connect.
Did everyone get this straight? I finally found out the comcast servers don't work with IPV6. Just go to the Playstore and get the app DNSet. Once installed, turn it on and all your email will work fine over wifi! It reverts to IPV4, I think. Only took a month before I found this on another forum. Hope this helps all those using Comcast pop3 email on their Droid.
