keeping comcast email address when no longer with Comcast

If I no longer have Comcast/Xfinity services, can I maintain my current comcast.net email box?

Re: keeping comcast email address when no longer with Comcast

No.  As with most ISPs, Comcast's email is proprietary.  Once you drop their service you will no longer have access to your emails.  So you need to transfer or forward any emails you want to keep to another email provider before you cancel the service.  One option would be to set up the Comcast account in a desktop email client like Outlook, Thunderbird or Windows Live Mail.  That way your email would at least be on your computer.  If you are switching to another ISP they should have a way to do a transfer, but again,  you would have to do that before canceling Comcast.
