infinity connect Mac OS email column headings missing

Using xfinity connect/comcast.net email on Mac OS.  I want to sort my inbox by sender.  There are no column headings.  It defaults to sorting by date received.  There are two colummn (without headings). Left column shows sender with subject beneath the sender name; the only other column shows date.  How do I create a separate "FROM" column so I can sort by sender?

In the toolbar on the Inbox page, click on "View", then turn the reading pane off, or set it to the bottom of the screen.  Then the columns will look different.

If you want to play around with the columns even more, after you set the reading pane to the bottom of the screen, right-click on any message in the list to see this------------------
