how do i turn off autofill of email addresses function

When I start to type a email address in a new message it autofills and stops me from typing the correct address leaving out some of it. How do I turn off autofill so I get to type the address myself?

Re: how do i turn off autofill of email addresses function

There is no way to trun off the auto display of possible email addresses as you type.  It should let you type if you want to.  I can.  You might send an email to helpme@sv.comcast.com  The address book is actually supplied by a company called Plaxo.  Explain what is going on and see if they can help you.
