filter emails

I would like to limit my received emails to names on my address book.  How can I filter out all others?

Accepted Solution

Re: filter emails

Create a folder with a name like "NotInContacts" to hold the rejected mail. Then, in Email Filters (Preferences / Email /  Email filters), define this filter:

If   [Address in]   [From]   [not in]   [Contacts]   [File into folder]   [NotInContacts]

Or, if you're really brave, set the Action to [Discard].

Please let us know if this works.

I recently tried this. My spam filter is not working. Receive a message that states" unable to save filter"  Ideas?
