facebook messages on Email

facebook messages on Email

For the past two days, no facebook Emails have come through on Thunderbird Email via Comcast.

 

Help would be appreciated on how to troubleshoot this issue.

 

Also, is this a problem with facebook or likely to be with my set-up?

Have you checked webmail to see if they made it to your Inbox?

 

Help would be appreciated on how to troubleshoot this issue.

Check your settings within Facebook to make sure they haven't changed.

No messages on Web Mail and Facebook configurations look OK.

 

Do you think this problem is something to do with  POP3 or IMAP?

Again,

 

Sorry for the delay in responding.

 

I checked on your suggestions and more, all to no avail.

 

All is well on my Email system with the exception of receiving notifications from Facebook.

 

Like I said, this happened out of the blue. For three years plus no problems then one day nothing.

 

I have sent help Emails to Comcast support asking if for some reason they are blocking Facebook on my Email address. Their response: In essence not their problem, contact Facebook.

 

Here is the problem with Facebook: When you send a help message, the response you get is thank you we will review the issue (or words to that effect). I have tried this on three occasions and each time the same response is returned more or less proving it is an automated reply.

 

I have also tried Facebook forums. The issue keeps coming up for discussion. However, for the life of me I cannot find an answer to the problem.

 

There must be someone out there that has access to the Facebook Technology Department for trouble shooting but they are definately not sharing it with me.

 

I appreciate your help.
