export emails from Comcast's webmail?

export emails from Comcast's webmail?

I have a few mails in my Comcast Web.Mail that I'd like to export (preferably as text files) and save. Is that possible without going through an elaborate copy and paste routine?

Thanks In Advance!

Re: export emails from Comcast's webmail?

This is one of the biggest drawbacks for a business to use comcast is its inability to copy out or export subject, user, date line or export the entire email. Anyone got an answer?

Re: export emails from Comcast's webmail?

I would recommend that you set up a free email account with Windows Live Mail, Gmail, Thunderbird.

Once set up you can forward those emails to that program's Inbox from the Xfinity Inbox.

You have much better control of your email by using a real email client, than using XfinityConnect, which is webmail.

With webmail, you are actually viewing your email onthe server.  If you use a real email client, you also have the options of where you store emails you want to save long term.. asnd you can place them on a thumbdrive or a CD, or elsewhere on your PC/

With those programs, you have the option to Leave a copy of messages on the Comcast server or have them deleted after read.  You will find that oprion in the email settings for each email client.

Thank you for a solution, but it is not the solution I hoped for as you are recommending an entirely different program - thus requiring a two step process, forwarding - which changes the "sent from" - and then saving/exporting, etc.

If you are talking about saving emails to your computer, there is no easy way to do that without using a desktop client like Thunderbird, Windows Live Mail or something like that.  But then all webmail programs have the same issue.  Take your pick-----AOL, Yahoo, Outlook.com, Gmail------or any other you can think of.  It's all webmail.
