error - adding secondary email in account preferences for xfinity connect

I have been tring to add a secondary xfinity email account to my primary account.  I have added 2 secondary emails.  I had this specific account added in the past.  I removed it accidentally when passwaord for that account was changed.  Now I am unable to add that account back.  Its a comcast.net account .  I am choosing other, Ive tried POP3 and IMAP.  neither works .. the test settings feature also doensnt seem to work

How long ago did you delete the account in question?  When you change or delete a user ID, it is suspended for 90 days, after which it goes back into the pool of available IDs for any other Comcast subscriber who wants to claim it, first come, first serve.  That would explain why it won't let you re-use it now if you are still within the 90 day period.  The only thing you can do is call Comcast security and see if they can reinstate it for you, no guarantees------------------
