I recently had to get a new iphone and when i did Iwas setting everything back up when I got to the emails I notice I lost several hundred emails as if they disappeared and now have no way in retrieving them.  Would like to know what happen and how did they just dissappear just from setting up a new phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have a desktop or laptop computer you can use to check using only a browser?  Or even using Safari on the phone instead of Mail?

Yes when I notice that the email was gone from my phone i then logged in on my desktop and notice the samething had occurred. Not sure what could had happen from just getting a replacement phone and setting it up.

Then all I can suggest is that you call Comcast security and see if they can recover the missing messages for you-------------------
