Where do I set the name that will show on out going email?

This used to be under preferences in the old setup.

Re: email

AFAIK you can't change it right now.  Whatever name you used when you set up the account is what will be displayed.  I don't know if there is any plan to restore that ability.  I'll try to find out.

Re: email

I found it:

Do the following:
Settings
Left side top: Accounts
Right side should show E-Mail: click Edit
The box that comes up, the middle line "Your name" is what I needed.

That name is waht appears in the recipents email.

Re: email

I tried that, and what appears in that field is not what appears in the From line at the recipient's end for me.  Did you actually try sending to another email address you have?

Official Employee

Re: email

That should work.

However, there is another place to change it and sometimes if they aren't in sync it gets overwritten

Click Compose

Click on the down arrow next to the from address.

Choose Edit names

Edit the name in the text field to what you would like the From to read.

Click Save

Or you can uncheck the box to have it pick up the name in the account field.
