email - return receipt

I would like to get an email when the person I sent it to reads it.  where do I set that up?

Re: email - return receipt

That feature is not currently available in Comcast webmail.  It will be in the new email format, but there is no roll-out date on it yet.  In the meantime, the only way to use read receipts is to enable your account in a desktop email client like Outlook, Windows Live Mail or some other.  They have that ability.

Re: email - return receipt

Thanks.  I have a lot of email folders in outlook that I needed to access but when I open them, I get a bunch of security messages.  I will find some way.  I'm not sure what it is with Comcast not having the simplest features working.  I was reallly shocked that I couldn't set up a reminder on my TV.  Thanks again

Re: email - return receipt

There are some things to keep in mind when requesting a "read receipt".

If you use an email client and send one, the receipient may not see it if he/she does not have "see read receipt request/send read receipt" enabled in his/her email client if that person uses a client.

They may see the request and ignore it.

Read receipts generally will not be seen if using webmail.
