on my email page my delete icon comes up and then disappears so I cannot delete the items I have checked??

Try clearing out your browser's cache/browsing history. When you have done that, close out the browser and re-start it in a fresh session.

If that doesn't do it, then try using a different browser.

In order for you to access the internet, you have to be using a browser like Internet Explorer, Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or some other.  They all have a special area of memory that builds up small files from your internet activity like temporary internet files, cookies, and others.  Sometimes these files can become conflicting, corrupted, broken or just expired.  This can cause all kinds of problems.  Here are instructions on how to clear out the clutter in the better-known browsers-------------------
