email issues

I am getting a pop up box every time i log into my email that asks for a server name and password.  I do not know the original comast password, if i hit cancel or ok, it pops up again.. i have received or sent email out of my primary account for 5 days now.  I went to the Xfinity store nearby and they gave me instructions on how to configure a new email address.  I did this and now i can't even get into my email.   Please help!  My bill went up 40.00 this month and i am so fed up with Comcast.  Also, when i call, i get hung up on as soon as they ask if i will take a 'callback survey'.
