For no apparent reason my email display reverts to alphabetical listing rather than latest date received.  I've tried preferences but there does not seem to be a way to correct this problem.

Any suggestions?

Assuming you are using the default Full version of Xfinity Connect, to the right of "Sorted by" xxxxx at the top of the message list, right-click on the grey area to the right and you should see this-----------

Select what you want as a sorting criteria.

Thanks for your suggestion--I don't seem to have a "sort by" button.  I am working on a MAC Book Pro.  Any other suggestions?

OK try a different approach, again assuming the Full version of XC--------right-click on any message in the list and you should see this--------------------------
