e-mail program

Ever so often I am requested to "send an e-mail by a program. When I try a window comes up stateing there is no e-mail client configured.

How do I get my comcast e-mail to be the "configured client e-mail"? or the defualt e-mail,at times will give me options such as out look or windows mail which I use neither of these

Re: e-mail program

When you click on a "mailto" link at a website, it will prompt you to configure an email client if you don't already have one.  If you do have one set up the mailto link will automatically detect it and open a new email for you to compose.  Webmail email programs like Yahoo, Comcast, AOL etc cannot be configured as a client.  For that you need to set the account up in a client like Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, Windows Live Mail, Mac Mail or some other one.

What operating system and version are you using?  You may already have one and just don't realize it.
