e-mail inbox

No matter what I set my email inbox deletion schedule to the Xfinity system removes all my incoming emails from my inbox after they are 14 days old.  Does anyone know why this is happening?  Comcast "experts" have been of no help.

Re: e-mail inbox

Do you have the account enabled on a mobile device like a smartphone or tablet?  Or do you have it enabled in a desktop email client like Outlook, or Thunderbird or something like that?  Because the settings in any of those will override the Comcast preferences.

Re: e-mail inbox

I do not have a email client such as Outlook of Thunderbird.  I do access my email sometimes from the Apple Mail app on my iPhone, which accesses my Xfinity email.  I don't see anything in my Apple Mail app settings that refers to email inbox deletion schedules.

Re: e-mail inbox

Do you have the account enabled on the phone using POP3?  If so, you need to check the settings to make sure you have it set to keep a copy on the server.  But you really need to use IMAP if you are going to use more than one device to access the email.  That would solve your issue.
