deleting emails

I do not use my desktop on a regular basis so there is often a large backlog of emails, many of which I want to delete.  If there anyway to delete emails by the date they are received without having to select them individually?  Thank you.

Re: deleting emails

The easiest way would be to just set your deletion schedules so you don't get the back-up to begin with.  From the Inbox page, go to Preferences>>>>>>Email>>>>>>Email Deletion Schedule.  That's where you can set the time period for each of the default folders.
