delayed incoming delivery to outlook

Comcast is delivering mail into my Outlook inbox a day late. It previously worked fine, ever since Office 2016 was installed in April. Outlook is configured to deliver mail as it comes in. Suddenly Comcast will not deliver same-day mail. Every morning it delivers yesterday's mail, then won't deliver again until the next morning. It *does* deliver to my Comcast cloud account immediately -- but I don't want to deal with email in the cloud one day and then have to sift through it again to file it away in my mail-manager when it finally arrives the next day.  What's going on?
