Running my finger on the mouse pad does not move the cursor or agitates the cursor making it move in all sorts of direction. Cursor acts as if it has a "mind of its own".

Shut down and restart your computing device... this should clear up the wonky mousepad.....also look to ensure it is "clean" and without anything stuck between the seams.
