cannot send/receive email on 1 of 4 accounts

I have 4 email accounts and 1 of them will not send/receive. Get error stating incorrect name./password. I am sure they are correct, but it still doesn't work.

Re: cannot send/receive email on 1 of 4 accounts

How are you accessing the email?  Are you on a computer using a browser and the webmail UI? Or are you on a smart phone or tablet or what?

A Windows computer for home use. The operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium. The e-mail is Windows Live Mail.

The error claims an incorrect password was entered. It is the same password for all four accounts and it works on three but not this one address.

Additional info:

Server error: 0x800CCC90

Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC92

For the one account that isn't working, go into the Account properties and input the username and password again.

Highlight the email account

Click on the Accounts Tab, and choose Properties

Click on the Servers tab

Highlight and re-enter the username & password

Click the Apply box and then OK to close out the Properties box

Close WLM and then re-start

Post back if this doesn't work.

And, just an FYI....Microsoft is no longer updating WLM, including security updates.  You might want to consider setting up your accounts in a different email client such as Thunderbird which is very much like WLM.

That did not work. We had tried that numerous times before.

Re: cannot send/receive email on 1 of 4 accounts

We downloaded Thunderbird and 3 of the 4 accounts worked but the same one account would not work. It stated it did not recognize the user name or password. Just as an aside, my husband downloaded Thunderbird on his computer and was able to access an email account from his old computer that would not work on the new one and is now sorting through 5000 emails. Thank you for all your help so far.
