cannot get new mail notification from my control panel>sounds, etc.

I have set my new email notification and tested it. It works until I get another email.  I have been told that Comcast handles our email through Yahoo, which is news to me. How can I get and keep a new email notification from my control panel, sounds.

Comcast doesn't handle email through Yahoo, but I believe that AT&T does.

Just from playing around - I use an email client and not the Xfinity Connect webmail page - you don't set the email notification through Windows Control Panel.  You need to go through Email Preferences on the webmail page.  However, I don't get a notification sound unless I keep the webmail page open, and then it's Comcast's default sound.
