cannot download emails from Comcast to Mail 6.6

cannot download emails from Comcast to Mail 6.6

Around 4 PM EDT on Tuesday April 25, my emails would no longer download to Mail 6.6. I have tried a lot of things since then, including:

- Live Chat

- verifying that my email accounts were active/enabled

- call from Xfinity Tech telling me it was working (it was not, how would they know whether my desktop Mail was working?)

- switching config to IMAP from POP and back again a few times

- switching from port 995 to 993 and back a few times

- emailing myself from my gmail account

- moving contents of my Mail Inbox in case it was too full (moved to a new folder)

Nothing worked. All the emails are going to the xfinity/comcast webmail, but will not download to Mail client.

Anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks!

If that is Apple mail 6.6, that is very old. The current version is 10.3.

Also try deleting the account, and then add it back.

Hi sand44, are you still having issues with receiving mail from your mail client? If so I can help, please try removing the app and adding it back to your device. This will allow your app to update and will allow you to sign in again so that all of your mail can flow to your mail client.
