cannot access email

cannot access email

for some reason i can't open my email. it says i am not authorized. can you please help me with this?

Poat the entire error message you are getting. Are you sure you have signed in with the correct username AND password?

Need Email Help? Please post the following information in your post.
Do you use XfinityConnect? The Full or Lite version?
Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?
Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X
Details of the problem you are having.

Email comes in but I can't send email.  I am using a Macbook Pro with the latest version on it.  I get the floolwing message when I use Bellsouth and Gmail:  trying to log into BellSouth SMTP failed verify username and password are correct

I have used the correct username and password.  Never changed a thing, but did do a hard reset on the computer.
