I want to know if comcast  can change my account to use IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) or EAS (Exchange ActiveSync).?

You can use POP or IMAP to access your mail, just configure the protocol, server name, port, authentication, and SSL settings in your email program or mobile device. See http://customer.xfinity.com/help-and-support/internet/email-client-programs-with-xfinity-email/.
