This e-mail was in my inbox asking for secure information.

Welcome to Comcast.Net Account Service!!!.
Dear Account Owner,

This E-mail been sent to you by the Comcast.Net Verification Team to
inform you that your account will be deactivated within the next 48 hours
due to increased spam and phishing activities globally, a DGTFX Trojan
virus has been detected in some of our Comcast.Net  users Account and your
email account was among. Your email account server will be upgraded with
our new secure 1024-bit RSA key anti-virus firewall to prevent damage and
spread of the virus. Click your reply tab, fill the columns below and send
back to us for confirmation of the upgrade or your email account will be
terminated to avoid spread of the virus. You will have to confirm your
E-mail by filling out your Logan Information below after clicking the
reply button, otherwise your access to Comcast.Net  services will be
suspended.

Warning: Account owner that refuses to update his/her account after two

I would get in contact with Comcast's security dept. To validate the sent email.

of course it's a scam email.

anyone at Comcast sending out emails asking for user names & passwords would be fired.

It's a phishing attempt.

 

Be aware that Comcast will NEVER ask you for user name and password information over the phone or email.

 

Another clue: asking for date of birth and country or territory. There is no reason why Comcast would want to know you birth date. Also, Comcast is available only in the United States so they don't need to know where you are.

It should be so easy to find a place on your site that immediately tells a person how to have an online chat!  When I finally found it,  I found this......

AND IT DOES NOT WORK!   That is just plain ridiculous!  I would like to find out what email address i need so that I can forward a  suspicious email.  It sould be easy.
