adobe flash

Adobe flash has benn dropped by Google Chrome and other major servers because of their poor security  restrictions.  When is Comcast/Xfinity going to update and give us something that works?

Comcast has nothing to do with anything you said.

Re: adobe flash

Adobe Flash has not been 'dropped' by any of the major browsers that I am aware. What they did do, was block the use of the Flash add-on for all versions except the most recent.

Currently, the latest version of Flash is 18.0.0.209 (as of this date).

Re: adobe flash

So we should be checking each browser on our machines to see if we have the most current version of Flash, and if not update?

That's correct, with a couple of exceptions.

Internet Explorer 11 has Flash builtin and the update comes from Microsoft, As long as you keep current with Windows Update, you're fine.

Google Chrome is similar to Internet Explorer in that the update comes from Google. To see what version of Flash you have installed in Chrome go type Chrome://Plugins in the address bar. The current version is 18.0.0.209.
