aborted E mail

I sent an E mail and right after I sent it I received an E mail with this message

 This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.      
Delivery to the following recipients was aborted after 1 second(s):

I have never had this happen before .Why does  it happen?

Could be various reasons.   Sometimes because the email address that it was sent to doesn't exist on the server so it rejected it.  Could also be rejected as spam or some other reason.

Was that the entire error message?  If not, copy/paste it into your reply, BUT remove the beginning portion of the email address, leaving just the domain.  (EG username@comcast.net)

Do you use XfinityConnect? The Full or Lite version?
Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?
Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X
