I upgraded to Windows 10 on my home laptop and can not get an internet connection.  Otherwise my internet connections are ok on other devices.

Occasionally with a WIndows 10 upgrade, generic drivers are installed for some devices.  Search the Adaptors manufacturer's website for a current WIndows 10 driver and update it to see if this enables the adaptor for connection.
