Where is the Comcast IMAP signup page?

Re: Where is the Comcast IMAP signup page?

There is no signup, IMAP is available to all customers.  The page you linked to is the setup instructions for use with client programs.

So are you saying all Comcast Email accounts are now IMAP by default?

Yes, that's correct.  Are you having a problem with your IMAP setup?

Re: Where is the Comcast IMAP signup page?

In guess I now have comcast email set up on imap but I didn't do anything to set it up because I don't know where to go to set it up.  Anyway now I am not getting any of my emails on any of my electronics.  And since I don't have email, I will just have to be looking here for an answer.

Re: Where is the Comcast IMAP signup page?

When you have IMAP on all your computers/devices, everything is synced;  anything you do to an email one of them will be reflected on all of them.  So if you delete an email on your phone, it will also be gone from your desktop and the server, and so on.

So you need to check all your devices and see how the account is enabled on each one.  Most tablets, smartphones and desktop clients will now automatically detect Comcast accounts as being IMAP compliant, and will auto-configure them for you.  If the account is currently using POP3, you need to re-create it using IMAP, then go back and delete the POP3 account.  You use the same user ID and password.  They are two versions of the same account.  But if you should need to do any manual configuration, the settings are here-------------------
