Warning, new phishing email appearing to be from Comcast

Got this one today, attached was a .zip file that contained the payload of malware - easy to see it wasn't actually sent from comcast by looking at the headers:

 

Important Information Regarding Your Account

Dear Valued XFINITY Customer,

During our regular update and verification of the Xfinity Online Services, We were unable
to process your most recent payment and we could not verify your current information.
Did you recently change your credit card or account number ? Keeping your online profile
up-to-date is a quick and easy way to help us contact you with important information
about your accounts. To avoid an interruption of your services or to reactivate suspended
service(s ), simply follow the steps below to verify your account. and update your billing
information today. You are strictly advised to update your records correctly to avoid
service denial.


To verify your account follow these two simple steps


  1. Download the attached file above, an attached file will pop-up on your screen. Click
    (open with). Select (Windows Explorer or Winzip at the Dropdown Menu) then click
    OK to open the folder or file. The attachment is provided by our security team and
    this email was sent automatically as an additional layer of security.

  2. After downloading the account form, Open the download folder or File On your
    device. Your tablets, mobile phone or PC might ask how to open file types. You are
    required to choose google chrome or mozilla firefox from the dropdown menu then
    click to open the attached file( in your web browser) and fill in the required fields.
    Please verify the information you entered is correct to Avoid Permanent Suspension.

Xfinity will not be held responsible for any Errors, Omissions, Missing or Incorrect information.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your assistance in
helping us maintain the integrity of the entire system. Thank you for being Comcast customer.

It is scam.

 

In addition to looking at the headers

Please read this Comcast Email Phish or Legit? How to Tell (and rules for posting about your mail) clickable link.

 

It contains very useful information about mail that purports to be from Comcast.

By the time you get through reading it YOU will be an expert on HOW to know that the mail is a phishing attempt.
