Usage meter update failed

Usage meter update failed

I am running widows 7 and have added a new folder to c:\drive and the updated loaded and said it was complete. I restarted the computer and when the usage meter loads it says it needs to update still. And it fails agian. Has anybody been able to fix this issue since comcast could care less. Thanks for your help.
