Unblocking ports 25 and 110

Unblocking ports 25 and 110

My local mail server (Synology NAS) requires port 25 to be open to handle incoming email, but Comcast has this blocked.  I called and spoke with three techs who said they were going to help me, and the best response I got was "so if I understand you correctly, you wish to unblock the sports channel?"  So apparently "Port 25" sounds like "Sports Channel".  I hung up and gave up speaking with them.

Anyone have any advice on how I can get this accomplished.  I am not running a large server, but rather a small local one that I need that port opened.  Does Comcast Business block this port too?  I have a colleague who runs Business class and is moving his hosting/mail to his local server.  I'm wondering if he will run into the same issues.

Comcast has not supported the use of port 25 in a long time.  I would call Comcast security and ask if they know of a way around it--------------------
