Unable to get email - Internal Server Error

For the past few hours (11/14/16) I have been getting email client errors and no email.  My error log shows this - note the Internal Sever error at the end:

So what's going on?  This is happening on several (if not all) of my accounts that have been just fine...

Re: Unable to get email - Internal Server Error

Hi Wighty -- Email clients are not something we run support on. You would need to contact the client manufacturer to run support. The test that we have in place for this is by having you use our email portal without your email client. If everything works within our email portal, then you know the issue is with the client.

Re: Unable to get email - Internal Server Error

Hi Zach,

Thank you for the reply.  I do understand that Comcast would not support email clients.

Granted that I do know much about how to interpret the log error message, but it seems that "internal server error" points to a server issue, and aren't the servers on Comcast's side?

Re: Unable to get email - Internal Server Error

That why we have our test in place with our email portal. If you see the same errors when using our portal without your email client, then the issue would point to us. If you're only seeing them when using an email client, then there's an issue with the client.

Re: Unable to get email - Internal Server Error

Not sure I'm clear on what, "using our portal without your email client" means.   How would I do that?

Thanks...

Re: Unable to get email - Internal Server Error

Not a problem. Give that a try and see if you run into the same errors.
