Transferring e-mail between Comcast usernaqme websites

Transferring e-mail between Comcast usernaqme websites

I recently established a new email site with new user name and password.  The old site is still active and accessible and receiving mail.  How can I have that mail and my address book transferred from the old site to the new, and then close down the old one?

Re: Transferring e-mail between Comcast usernaqme websites

Are you talking about an email account with another provider like Yahoo, Verizon, AOL or something?  Or do you mean you want to move an address book from one Comcast account to another?  We need some better details.

Re: Transferring e-mail between Comcast usernaqme websites

Both accounts are with Comcast.  I thought I had closed the first when I moved to a different

location and set up a new account there with Comcast.  Turns out that both are open and alive

at this time but apparently I am only paying for the new one.  I would like to tramsfer existing e-mails and address list from the old to the new and then shut down the old account.  My question is how do I do that?

Re: Transferring e-mail between Comcast usernaqme websites

Yes, it worked!  At least for the e-mails.  The address book did not transfer, but it makes me

rethink and cull it by entering a new one, and I did get a printout of the old one to work from.

Many thanks for your help!

For the Address Book, all you have to do is export it to your desktop as a .csv file, and then import it into the other one just like you would if it was from another email provider.   In the first account, from the Inbox page go to Address Book>>>>>>>Export all.  When you have the .csv file on your desktop, open the second account and do the same thing, but click on Build Your Address Book to import it.
