Switching between multiple email accounts/addresses

Switching between multiple email accounts/addresses

I have multiple comcast email accounts/addresses and when I am viewing emails for one account (email1) and then sign out and sign back in under another email account (email2) to view email for the second account, it brings me to my orginal account (email1) emails and I am not able to view the second account (email2) emails.  This has happened off and on for a while and I believe I had to reset something to fix it last time.  Very annoying. Has anyone lese expereinced this issue and know how to fix it?

Re: Switching between multiple email accounts/addresses

Use an email client to download all of your email accounts.  That way you don't have to sign in and out for each account.

Re: Switching between multiple email accounts/addresses

Thanks. What do you recommend for an email client?  I have used Outlook in the past but thought I heard there may be better options out there. I am running Windows 10.  BTW.....I still don't understand why I can't switch between email addresses by signing in and out of them.....is this an issue with comcast email or my settings? thanks all.

Re: Switching between multiple email accounts/addresses

As Again suggested, using a desktop client like Thunderbird or Outlook it probably the best way to go for a variety of reasons.  But another method to do what you are describing is to open a private browsing session to sign into the second account.  That way you don't have to keep signing in and out of the first one.  I've got three Comcast addresses right now, and I've had all three of them open that way.

In Windows 10 you have the Windows Mail app that comes bundled with the operating system.  It is a basic but capable and minimalistic client, so you should play around with it to see if that's what you need.  It is sufficient for most people that don't need all the bells and whistles you get using something like Thunderbird or Mac Mail, Outlook, etc.
