Suspicious e-mail from Xfinity

I just received an e-mail supposedly from Xfinity stating that there has been unusual activity on my account.   And that I need to click on the following link https://webmail.xfinity.net/verification    OR my account will be permanently suspended.   I did not click.  The email is from Account Verification 0.0.0ch.0@comcast.net

I'm assuming this is a hack.

Please let me know.

THank you

Re: Suspicious e-mail from Xfinity

It's a phishing email, an attempt to steal login and account information.

Please see Comcast Email Phish or Legit? How to Tell (and rules for posting) for more information about identifying, reporting, and posting phishing emails.

Samples of recent phishing messages can be found at http://constantguard.comcast.net/alerts under "Top Phishing Scams".
