Spam

Why do I constantly get spam mail? No matter how many times I send something to spam, the next day my inbox is filled with more spam. I have never had such a problem with an email service. yahoo mail and gmail, if I mark spam, it always goes to spam. Is there something I am missing and/or not doing right?

Re: Spam

No you're doing it right.  Keep marking them to help train the filters.  There are a lot of reasons why some people get lots of junk mail, and others get little or even none.  You may find this interesting--------------------------------

Re: Spam

Thank you for your reply. From the day that I have had my email, I have put spam in the spam folder... and nothing has been trained. Not a single email, is ever in my spam box, unless I put it there. So, I am not understanding why, if I put an spam mail, titled "botox injections" into spam... I would continuously get the same kind of spam in my inbox. I do realize the mail comes from various places... but if on gmail, I put that to spam... that's where all "botox" emails go to, why is comcast email not getting it?

Re: Spam

I have been marking them as SPAM but continue to get pornographic emails.  I want these stopped as my kids sometimes use this address too.  I am getting a few a day, keep marking them, but they keep coming in.

Re: Spam

Are you sure you have the spam filter turned on?  If so, then the only other thing I can suggest is that you change the email address.  That's the weird thing-------I NEVER get spam in any of my 4 Comcast accounts.  A couple of them I've had for years.
