Scanned .pdf document is not downloadable by some e-mail reciepients.

I scan a document to a .pdf on my HP Printer/Scanner, and e-mail it to a few people.  Some can download the attachment, but other's are prevented with an error message saying that the document has a virus.  It does not.

I have the full suite of Norton running on my computer, and I simply scan it using the printer and save it as a .pdf to a directory on my c:/ drive.  Then I attached it in an outgoing (Comcast) e-mail.

In today's case, I sent the attachment to 3 people who use Yahoo e-mail.  One received it and downloaded it fine on their computer; a second person downloaded the attachment on his phone; but the third person who received the e-mail on their computer could not download the attachment with the "virus" error message.  What is up, and how can this be fixed?
